The Trade Compliance LeaderLATAM is responsible forThe LATAM Trade Compliance Leaderis responsible forleading regional import/export operations across Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia), ensuring operational oversight, execution, and alignment with established compliance procedures and departmentalobjectives. This role manages regional personnel, supports operational continuity, and drives increased visibility, structure, and consistency across LATAM operations while coordinating with brokers, Logistics, Finance, Operations, and external partners.


This position reports to the Manager, Global Trade Complianceand is part of the Global Trade Compliance located in Braziland will be an on-site role.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage professional associates across LATAM (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia), with accountability for the performance, execution, and operational results of regional import/export activities within own area of responsibility

  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address operational and resource challenges, including customs clearance delays, broker performance, and country-specific execution requirements

  • Make decisions and resolve operational issues guided by established policies, procedures, and departmental plans, while escalating issues and receiving guidance from leadership as appropriate

  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to associates, brokers, and internal stakeholdersregardingimport/export processes, customs operations, and compliance requirements

  • Apply in-depth understanding of import/export operations, customs regulations, and regional operational processes, while collaborating cross-functionally with Logistics, Finance, Regulatory, Operations, and external service providers to achieve departmental objectives

  • Identifyand resolve technical and operational issues related to import/export execution, recognizing the broader impact across regional operations and implementing corrective actions as needed

  • Guide and influence internal stakeholders and external partners to adopt consistent operational processes and support aligned execution across the region


The essential requirements of the job include
:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience in import/export operations, customs, or trade compliance OR Master’sdegreewith 7+ years of experience in import/export operations, customs, or trade compliance

  • 3+ years of experience managing personnel or regional operational activities across multiple countries

  • Strong working knowledge of import/export regulations, customs operations, and broker management processes across LATAM regions

  • Experience supporting operational oversight, KPI tracking, reporting, and Daily Management activities

  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders including Logistics, Finance, Regulatory, and Operations teams

  • Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish; Englishproficiencystrongly preferred

  • Experienceidentifyingand resolving operational issues related to customs clearance, broker performance, and regional execution challenges


Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally within the LATAM region

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to ##lb, any other physical requirements


It would be a plus if you also
possesspreviousexperience in:

  • Experience working within Medical Device, Diagnostics, Life Sciences, or other regulated healthcare industries

  • Experience supporting operational standardization, process improvement, or continuous improvement initiatives

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
