Job Title: Education and Volunteer Coordinator
Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil
Reports To: Program Manager
The Education and Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in promoting and developing educational initiatives that strengthen local capacity, as well as in managing and fostering volunteerism at the community level. This position is responsible for planning and implementing educational programs aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, as well as managing the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers. Furthermore, the coordinator is responsible for creating budgets for these activities, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to achieve the proposed goals.
Essential Functions:
Education:
- Coordinate and manage education programs, including logistics, reports, and databases.
- Execute training programs in-country, such as education missions and specialized courses.
- Support educators and compile reports on program progress and outcomes.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment related to training.
- Identify and address volunteer training needs.
- Facilitate staff training on Operation Smile Academy.
- Research new education materials and foster partnerships with academic institutions.
Experience Required (education/work):
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in relevant people management, business, international, or education field
- At least one year of project planning/development experience.
- English language is required.
- Previous experience in volunteer or service setting is desirable
