In this role, you will be responsible for:
As Account Manager, you will have full responsibility for driving our business and improving and growing our revenue in Europe by fostering relationships with existing car rental partners, prospecting new ones, and generating competitive product offerings.
You are passionate about the car rental industry, combining this interest with the ability to extract crucial market information and insights to enhance our business. A data-driven and internationally-minded profile is essential to thrive in the competitive and diverse European environment while aligning with our business goals.
Key Initiatives
Revenue
- Manage the sales performance of the European car rental portfolio, identifying opportunities to increase revenue across strategic markets such as Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, UK and others.
- Negotiate key account agreements that strengthen Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)’ position in the European and global market.
- Negotiate commission conditions and exclusive rates to maximize revenue and competitiveness.
- Negotiate specific conditions for different source markets (domestic, intra-European, and international), considering seasonal peaks and cross-border dynamics.
- Monitor market share and penetration, identifying opportunities aligned with European customer needs and travel behaviors.
- Monitor web service system performance and support suppliers to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Reduce “no results” rates by actively addressing availability gaps with partners.
- Manage performance of optional services and negotiate better conditions to increase conversion and revenue.
- Represent Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados) at European tourism fairs and industry events (e.g., ITB Berlin, WTM London, FITUR Madrid).
- Work with Marketing and Product teams to implement campaigns tailored to European travelers and regional business trends.
Coverage
- Outline and expand partnerships with local, regional, and multinational rental companies across Europe, ensuring strong balance between global and niche suppliers.
- Ensure IT integrations with new partners are completed on time and at the required quality levels.
- Negotiate Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)’ expansion in countries with high demand and strong tourism flows, ensuring competitive coverage.
- Ensure continuous updates of rental locations and vehicle groups in all European platforms.
- Register special offers from partners quickly and effectively to guarantee competitiveness.
Pricing and Competitiveness
- Monitor competitor pricing in Europe across multiple channels, including international OTAs and local platforms.
- Ensure availability parity with all suppliers in Europe.
- Support the definition of price/markup strategies for NET rate markets, focusing on improving revenue and conversion.
- Adapt promotions and strategies to key European seasonal peaks: summer holidays, Easter, Christmas, and bank holidays.
- Define relevant criteria to be applied in AI-based competitiveness algorithms.
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and product teams to ensure Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)’ offerings remain attractive and competitive across Europe.
Scorecard and Reports
- Track and share performance scorecards of European suppliers, including rate parity, availability, WS performance, NPS, SLA of complaints, financial health, and commission payments.
- Provide market insights to partners, helping them strengthen their positioning and strategies together with Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados).
- Deliver customized reports for key European destinations (e.g., Mediterranean coast, Alpine regions, major capitals).
What we expect from you (experience, soft and hard skills):
- Experience in services companies, preferably within the European car rental, travel, or mobility industry.
- Strong negotiation skills, with proven ability to operate in multicultural and multilingual environments.
- Emotional intelligence to foster long-term partnerships and manage sensitive negotiations.
- Ability to collaborate with multifunctional teams across different time zones.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English and at least one additional European language (Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Portuguese).
- Thrives in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment.
- Has experience building partnerships with regional and international suppliers in Europe.
- Understands European consumer behavior, cross-border mobility trends, and payment preferences.
- Brings market knowledge about emerging mobility solutions in Europe (electric vehicles, sustainable travel, mobility-as-a-service).
- Has a strong network within the European tourism and car rental sector.
