DevOps Engineer (inglês avançado)

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive DevOps / Cloud Engineer who is passionate about building, operating, and continuously evolving cloud-based infrastructures. This professional will play a critical role in ensuring that our systems are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with modern engineering best practices. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, embraces automation, and actively contributes to technological innovation while collaborating closely with development teams.

Main assignments:

• Take ownership of deployment and operations, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based systems.
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, logging, and monitoring solutions.
• Ensure stable releases, high availability, and overall system reliability across environments.
• Define, promote, and monitor best development and DevOps practices.
• Program, code, test, and support systems, transitioning as needed between front-end and back-end development projects.
• Execute the development and deployment of complex system functionalities.
• Validate existing test coverage and support the validation of new application features.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, proactively identifying risks and performance bottlenecks.
• Propose and implement technological improvements and architectural enhancements.
• Anticipate operational issues and opportunities, acting quickly with preventive and corrective solutions.
• Perform system maintenance, debugging, corrections, and enhancements to meet business and user needs.
• Develop, debug, test, and maintain existing applications and infrastructure components.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS or Azure is also valued.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Cloud Build.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration, using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, including IAM, secrets management, network policies, firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and Stackdriver.
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including backup, multi-zone, and multi-region architectures.
• Ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced environments and proactively solve complex technical problems.
• Advanced or fluent English for effective communication in a global environment.
