We’re looking for a Junior Data Engineer who is at the beginning of their career (or transitioning into data) and wants to grow in a hands-on, technical environment. This role is focused on learning by doing — supporting the development of data pipelines, working with data structures, and building a strong foundation in data engineering. You’ll work closely with more experienced team members and have space to develop your technical skills while contributing to real data projects.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines (ETL/ELT);
Assist in building and organizing data structures, tables, and databases;
Help with data ingestion, transformation, and cleaning processes;
Work alongside the analytics team to ensure data availability and quality;
Support troubleshooting and improvements in data workflows;
Document processes, pipelines, and data structures;
Use version control (Git) in day-to-day activities;
Participate in team rituals and collaborate on deliveries.
Requirements:
Experience with Python and SQL;
Understanding of programming logic and basic data structures;
Familiarity with data concepts (ETL, data modeling, pipelines — even at a theoretical level);
Academic experience, personal projects, or initial professional experience with data;
Willingness to learn and grow in data engineering;
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
Ability to read technical documentation in English.
Nice to have:
Exposure to data pipeline or orchestration tools (Airflow, NiFi, etc.);
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP);
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development;
Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, etc.);
Experience with open-source data tools;
