About the Position:
Lead Cloud (AWS / GCP ) Devops (Handson Role)
We are seeking a visionary Lead Cloud Devops to spearhead our Multi-tenant SaaS application deployment on AWS and lead our DevOps engineering team. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the AWS ecosystem, you will be the primary authority on our architectural decisions, ensuring our systems are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective. You will bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution, managing both complex projects and a high-performing technical team.
Executive Responsibilities
- Architectural Strategy: Design and oversee the end-to-end architecture of global AWS / GCP / Azure environments using a Standardize-First approach.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers. Conduct code reviews, performance evaluations, and technical coaching.Perform handson day to day AWS / GCP / Azure tasks needed for project delivery.
- Project Management: Lead large-scale infrastructure migrations and deployments using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ensure on-time delivery of infrastructure milestones.
- Governance & Compliance: Define security standards (IAM, ACM, VPC Peering) and cost-optimization (FinOps) strategies across the entire AWS organization.
- Operational Excellence: Act as the final escalation point for complex system failures, performing deep-root cause analysis on Linux environments and distributed systems.
- Handson Role : Even though this is an AWS architect role, it will be more of a hands-on role and we expect the candidate to get into details and actually work on delivering stuff.
Technical Requirements (Mastery Level)
- AWS Expertise (8 + Years): Absolute proficiency across the full AWS catalog, including but not limited to EKS, ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, ELB, API GW and S3
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven track record of building production-grade frameworks using Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
- Orchestration & CI/CD: Expert knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) at scale, including Helm, Service Mesh, and advanced GitHub Actions workflows.
- Programming: High proficiency in Python / Typescript for building custom tooling and automation frameworks.
- Good to have : Linux Mastery: Expert-level administration of Amazon Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu. Deep knowledge of kernel tuning, file systems, and enterprise-grade server hardening.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Certification:AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Mandatory).
- Experience: 8+ years of dedicated AWS experience.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Bonus: Professional experience with GCP architecture and multi-cloud strategies.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience based on department and role.
