Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
- Health & Safety- Aggreko places a strong emphasis on health, operational safety and environmental protection. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation.
- Lead and develop project's Team from basic design, through engineering calculations, BoM creation, installation and commissioning, until handover to operations.
- Apply the company's processes and tools to manage all project execution activities.
- Manage project's stakeholders to align with project and business objectives.
- Ensure efficient communication among all parties.
- Measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects.
- Focal point for the client in all project phase regarding technical, contractual or commercial subjects during project execution.
- During operation, lead the solution of any pending points from execution phase.
- Coach, mentor and motivate team members and influence them to take positive actions and accountability for their assigned task.
- Adherence to the relevant quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and standards.
- Project Management Process- All projects to be executed in line with the defined Aggreko Project Management processes.
- Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities for improvement through structured project reviews and work within the global project management team to improve process, quality and safety standards. Actively participate in building the global capability of the project management team through coaching and mentoring.
Person Specification/Job Requirements
- Preferably degree qualified in an engineering/project management field.
- over 6 years relevant experience preferably in complex engineering (energy, mining, civil, oil & gas etc.) or capital type projects and can demonstrate or have evidence of successfully implementing a number of such projects.
- Project management certification, desired.
- Operational experience of at least one other key market outside Europe / North America and can operate in remote locations and with more than one reporting line.
- Track record in operations and commercial environments, gained within another large and well-run business.
- Experience of successfully leading / implementing a significant performance improvement programme which resulted in improved efficiency and measurable results
- Experience of working globally, particularly with multi-cultural work forces.
- Experience in leading teams in multiple locations within a project managed business with a global and regional structure.
- Ability to take decisions autonomously, to act decisively, even when faced with ambiguity.
- Willing to lead from the front and engage with operational issues and with people at all levels in the company, not status conscious.
- Robust enough to cope with national cultures with few boundaries.
