    InterMoor is looking to add a Project Manager to the team. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a single or multiple projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are safely accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters and the customer receives a quality product or service which meets or exceeds all of the customer requirements.

    The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.

    Duties

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of one or more projects, ensuring that the objectives are achieved safely, within the established deadlines and budget limits

  • Structure and monitor project budgets, providing revenue and cost analysis, including the appropriate credit releases, as well as participate in the revenue and cost forecast process

  • Develop and maintain the project schedule with resource allocation, including detailed work breakdown structure (WBS)

  • Manage projects and assigned teams on a daily basis, including planning operations and supervising operational personnel in the field, reviewing procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation in all phases of the project, ensuring compliance with schedule and budget

  • Act in the daily monitoring of projects and systems to identify deviations and ensure that activities occur as planned

  • Propose and implement solutions to mitigate operational downtime or delays that impact the customer or the profitability of the project

  • Support customers in the elaboration of design concepts and technical specifications

  • Conduct presentations and support commercial activities

  • When applicable, coordinate with the Operations and Commercial areas the development of proposals and bids

  • Review and approve quality plans and technical procedures, as well as develop procedures for subsea projects, when necessary

  • Analyze proposals and project plans to define deadlines, budget limits, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation by phase

  • Define the work plan and the sizing of teams for each phase of the project, informing the personnel needs to the Operations area

  • Align work plans with project teams, assigning responsibilities, scope, and levels of authority

  • Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure execution on time and within the approved budget

  • Review status reports and adjust timelines or plans as needed

  • Oversee the issuance of requisitions that are not related to general maintenance and repairs, as well as review and approve supplier invoices

  • Prepare project reports, forecasts, variance analysis and other technical and financial reports for management, customers or other stakeholders

  • Together with Technical Support, provide support to project teams, offering technical guidance and support in solving problems

  • Review and approve project invoices and support the financial area in matters related to accounts receivable with customers

  • Carry out national and international trips, as needed

  • Maintain mandatory training according to management guidelines

  • Work in close collaboration with the Commercial Department in the analysis of ITTs and submission of proposals, ensuring a well-defined scope, technical skills, necessary equipment and full understanding of terms, conditions and pricing

  • In coordination with the Commercial area, make presentations to customers about new technologies or solutions that improve their performance

  • Implement QHSE Management Systems and ensure compliance with local regulations

  • Verify the compliance of the systems with all Technical, Operational and QHSE bulletins

  • Prepare project reports, forecasts, variance analysis and other technical or financial reports as required by management, customers or other stakeholders


  • Required

  • Complete higher education in Engineering, preferably Naval Engineering

  • Active CREA registration

  • Desirable post-graduation in a related area

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

  • Desirable good knowledge in Autocad, Office package, AutoCAD®, SolidWorks, Orcaflex

  • Desirable experience of at least 8 years in the design and/or installation of permanent anchoring systems for units such as FPSOs, FSOs, FSUs or CALM buoys, among others

  • Experience in developing offshore operating procedures for subsea installation and/or construction

  • Good vision and business understanding

  • Experience in installing flexible and umbilical risers

  • Expertise in installation analysis

  • Experience using OrcaFlex software

  • Experience in developing tenders, including methodologies, schedules, and financial estimates/calculations
