We are looking for a Recruitment Officer to join our Crew Management team, located in RIo de Janeiro, Brazil. This role is responsible for sourcing and recruiting qualified seafarers in line with client requirements, legal standards, and company policies, while supporting the continuous improvement of recruitment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and screen qualified candidates to meet customer crew requirements
- Build and maintain an active pool of applicants
- Collect and verify candidate documentation and certifications
- Ensure applicant data is updated and valid in the system
- Conduct background checks on candidates’ experience
- Provide recruitment progress updates to applicants and Crewing team
- Monitor industry practices and provide benchmarking insights
- Develop relationships with training centers and maritime institutions
- Prepare reports and suggest improvements to recruitment processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in recruitment (seafarer recruitment is an advantage)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Experience using online sourcing platforms
- Ability to prepare reports and perform basic analysis
