Location: Rio & Learn Portuguese School, Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Innovate: Conduct and manage all Samba, Forró and Funk dance classes at Rio & Learn, providing students with an authentic and enjoyable learning experience.
• Language Instruction: Teach Portuguese language classes as part of our regular curriculum, adapting your approach to fit a range of student abilities from beginner to advanced, group and private classes.
• Follow School Methodologies:Funlearning and Livelearning.
• Cultural Ambassador: Embody and impart the joy and cultural significance of Brazilian dance and language, enhancing students’ understanding and appreciation.
• Curriculum Development: Assist in the development of engaging educational materials and lesson plans for both dance and language instruction.
• Event Participation: Participate in and help organize school events, performances, and activities that promote Brazilian culture and language learning.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience: Solid background in teaching Samba and Forró, with a track record of engaging and effective instruction.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Portuguese, with experience in teaching Portuguese as a second language preferred.
• Educational Credentials: Degree in any field.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate students.
• Flexibility and Creativity: Ability to adapt teaching methods to Rio & Learn methodologies and to create an inclusive, dynamic learning environment.
