DESCRIPTION

Role summary: Lead transportation procurement operations, managing carrier contracts and processes to ensure efficient delivery while optimizing costs.

Key job responsibilities
  • Evaluate contracts and conduct performance audits;
  • Perform cost analysis and establish improvement benchmarks;
  • Implement risk management procedures;
  • Drive supplier relationships and negotiations;
  • Ensure compliance with company spending policies;
  • Lead procurement metrics and improvement initiatives;
  • Track KPIs and develop action plans for savings goals;
  • Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities.
  • Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.
  • Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category.
  • Analyze data and find patterns to optimize Amazon Costs;

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Experience with Excel, including use of complex formulas and pivot tables to manipulate large datasets and interpret results
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
  • Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
  • Transportation/logistics industry exposure preferred
