PURPOSE:

This position exists to support treasury management, focusing on cash flow control, financial forecasting, banking relationship and optimization of payment processes mainly.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and consolidate detailed financial data required for the periodically cash flow forecast. This includes segregating operational cash, intercompany transactions, and restricted funds.
  • Prepare and analyze the daily cash position across all bank accounts, ensuring optimal liquidity for operational needs.
  • Develop short-term cash flow projections by analyzing trends in accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) cycles to anticipate surpluses or deficits.
  • Perform periodically bank reconciliations for all operating accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of general ledger balances and immediately investigating and resolving any discrepancies or variances.
  • Monitor all open accounts payable (AP) items, proactively tracking payment deadlines, managing the payment approval workflow, and coordinating with the Accounts Payable team to optimize working capital.
  • Manage the foreign currency (FX) exposure related to payments, coordinating with the foreign exchange desk/banks to secure favorable rates and execute spot or forward transactions as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison with key banking partners for day-to-day operations, including execution of FX trades, managing credit facility drawdowns, and handling guarantee/Letter of Credit (LC) issuance.
  • Maintain and update bank account documentation (e.g., signatory mandates, account opening/closing documentation) ensuring compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) and internal corporate governance policies. Monitor and manage daily bank fees and charges, seeking opportunities for optimization and ensuring adherence to agreed-upon service agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Accounting, administration, economy or related areas.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years’ experience in treasury routines.
  • Relevant industry (mining, mining services, construction and heavy industry etc) will be advantageous.
