Programming & Data
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Solid SQL skills with experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred; SQL Server acceptable)
- Understanding of data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data processing workflows
- Familiarity with data normalization, schema design, and basic data validation/reconciliation concepts
Systems & Environment
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
- Experience with scripting, automation, and log-based troubleshooting
Production & Reliability
- Exposure to monitoring and alerting concepts
- Experience debugging issues in live systems
- Candidates should have prior experience debugging and supporting production systems under time-sensitive conditions
Development Practices
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic CI/CD workflows
- Understanding of clean code practices and structured development
Communication (Critical)
- Strong English proficiency is required (written and spoken)
- Role involves regular interaction in English for technical discussions and documentation
Motivation
- Strong interest in financial markets and systematic trading
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of statistics or time-series data
- Experience with C# or Java
- Exposure to market data, trading systems, or financial data workflows

- 2–4 years of professional experience in data engineering, backend development, or DevOps
- Exposure to production systems (not purely academic or analytical work)
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and operate across multiple areas (data, systems, and operations)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) required
- Master’s degree preferred
