FERMENTATION SPECIALIST

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Role Overview

The Fermentation Specialist acts as a technical reference for industrial fermentation processes based on cereals, ensuring the optimal application of Confidencial (Apenas para Cadastrados)’s product portfolio across customer operations. This role focuses on maximizing process performance, stability, and results through advanced process analysis, troubleshooting, industrial trials, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support in alcoholic fermentation and bioconversion for fuel ethanol
  • Perform in‑depth process data analysis, root cause analysis, and statistical evaluations to improve industrial performance
  • Design, validate, and supervise complex industrial trials, pilot tests, and implementation of new technologies and products
  • Actively support customers and internal teams in critical troubleshooting situations
  • Provide structured technical input to support product development and portfolio evolution
  • Develop technical documentation, training sessions, and scientific materials for customers and internal teams

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required

  • o Bachelor’s degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Agronomy, Biofuels, or related fields
  • o Knowledge of bioprocesses, industrial microbiology, ethanol production, and yeast propagation
  • o Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, JMP, or similar statistical tools)
  • o Ability to interpret and analyze process flow diagrams (PFDs)

An asset

  • o 5 years of professional experience in industrial fermentation or related technical areas
  • o Solid understanding of metabolic pathways, fermentation kinetics, and enzymatic activity
