The Senior P2P Consultant will serve as the functional lead for SAP MM Procure-to-Pay support within the Brazil AMS engagement.
The role is responsible for resolving complex incidents, handling change requests, and driving continuous improvement across procurement integration, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Special Procurement, and Production Planning (PP).
This position will take end-to-end ownership of the P2P support workstream, guide junior analysts, interact directly with client stakeholders, and ensure the team meets SLA and governance commitments while driving process improvements and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of the P2P AMS support workstream, serving as the primary functional escalation point for complex incidents, problems, and change requests (SO/tickets).
- Perform design and configuration reviews for SAP MM P2P processes, including procurement, MRP run parameters, and Special Procurement scenarios such as subcontracting, consignment, stock transfers, and third-party procurement.
- Drive integration alignment between MM/MRP and Production Planning (PP), resolving cross-module issues affecting planned orders and manufacturing schedules.
- Review and validate Root Cause Analyses (RCA) prepared by junior team members and lead problem-management activities for recurring or high-impact incidents.
- Act as the client-facing Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Brazil P2P operations, leading governance calls, status reviews, and discussions with business and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian fiscal and tax requirements impacting procurement, including NF-e electronic invoicing and ICMS/IPI/PIS-COFINS tax determination, coordinating escalations with the Tax/Compliance team when required.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives aimed at reducing ticket volumes and improving process efficiency across the P2P scope.
- Mentor and guide Level 1/Level 2 analysts; review documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge base content to ensure quality and completeness.
- Support transition and knowledge-transfer activities for onboarding new scopes and contribute to service improvement plans and SLA reporting.
- Participate in period-end/month-end procurement cycle reviews, audit support, and compliance approval activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Deep functional expertise in SAP MM, specifically across the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle, with hands-on configuration experience.
- Strong command of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), including planned order generation, MRP controllers, and adjustment of procurement proposals.
- Advanced knowledge of Special Procurement types, including subcontracting, consignment, stock transfers, and third-party procurement, as well as their configuration within the MRP2 view.
- Solid understanding of Production Planning (PP) integration with MM/MRP to support demand and supply alignment.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax and invoicing regulations affecting procurement, including ICMS, IPI, and NF-e, and how transaction-based tax rules impact settlement and reporting.
- Proven client service and stakeholder management skills, including governance reporting and executive-level communication.
- Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior consultants and analysts within an AMS or Managed Services delivery model.
- Portuguese proficiency for engagement with local stakeholders and fluent English for internal and client reporting.
- Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools, such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar platforms, along with SLA governance and problem/change management processes.
- Strong analytical skills, root cause analysis capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant SAP certification preferred.
- 7–10+ years of SAP MM experience, including at least 3–4 years in a senior/lead-level AMS or Managed Services support environment.
- Proven experience supporting operations in Brazil or across the broader LATAM region, including exposure to local fiscal and tax compliance requirements.
- Previous experience leading a support team or workstream, with exposure to client governance, is strongly preferred.
