We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with an "Engineer First" mindset. You will not just be "testing" code; you will be designing and maintaining sophisticated automation frameworks that validate complex, event-driven microservices on a modern Java 21 and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stack.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a primary focus on Java-based automation frameworks.
- Proven track record of implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) in large-scale SaaS environments.
- Deep expertise in building automation for Event-Driven Architectures and asynchronous systems.
Required Skills
- Strong QA Automation Skills: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java. Build and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems.
- Advanced Java 21: Expertise in using modern Java features (Streams, Virtual Threads) to write performant, multi-threaded test scripts and utility libraries.
- Microservices & API Testing: Mastery of RESTful API testing, covering both producer and consumer validation.
- Event-Driven Validation: Hands-on experience testing asynchronous flows involving Kafka or Google Pub/Sub, ensuring message integrity and schema compliance.
- Framework Development: Experience building or extending automation frameworks using Quarkus or Spring Boot to test cloud-native applications.
- Database Testing: Proficiency in validating data persistence in MongoDB and relational databases via JDBC.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Deep integration of automated suites into ADO Pipelines. Ability to manage test infrastructure using Terraform within GCP.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Performance and Load Testing for Java microservices.
- Knowledge of Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for managing dynamic test environments.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) native monitoring and logging tools.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to adapt to new and unique challenges, providing enterprise-class solutions. Potential to manage remote and offshore team members in the future.
- Willingness and capability to train new testers as they come on board and mentor them to deliver projects and meet the timelines.
- Excellent System design skills along with a strong knowledge of good architectural principles.
- Good Communication skills, and presentation skills. The job requires you to do a lot of whiteboarding and make good design decisions to implement the system
