This position is responsible for the full lifecycle cost management and control of EPC projects in Brazil, with a primary focus on the mining sector, as well as new energy sectors such as photovoltaic, wind power, and waste-to-energy. The role requires the candidate to independently handle project costing, ensure compliance with Brazilian tax regulations, and support project implementation through accurate budgeting and financial analysis.

Responsabilidades e atribuições
Independently undertake project cost estimation, budgeting, and final account settlement for engineering projects, with a priority focus on mining projects, followed by photovoltaic, wind, and waste-to-energy projects.
Conduct market research on local Brazilian basic prices (materials, labor, equipment) to establish and update enterprise cost databases.
Manage project cost control throughout the project lifecycle, including variation orders, cost forecasting, and change management.
Ensure all cost management activities comply with Brazilian laws, regulations, and tax requirements, with a specific emphasis on the tax codes of Minas Gerais State (ICMS, etc.).
Collaborate closely with the Chinese headquarters and project teams to align on budget targets and reporting requirements.
Support the tendering process by providing cost analysis for bid evaluation and contract negotiation.
Requisitos e qualificações
Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines.
At least 5 years of experience in project cost management or quantity surveying.
Proficiency in Brazilian laws and regulations, with deep familiarity with the Brazilian tax system; priority will be given to candidates familiar with the tax regulations of Minas Gerais State.
Ability to independently complete project cost work, including BOQ preparation, cost breakdown, and cash flow forecasting.
Experience in construction execution or engineering site practice is preferred, particularly within the mining sector; experience in new energy (photovoltaic, wind, waste-to-energy) is also valued.
Strong capabilities in cost control, contract management, and resource integration.
Fluency in Portuguese is required for local operations; fluency in English is mandatory for communication with the Chinese team; Chinese language skills will be an advantage.
Ability to adapt to an overseas working environment, frequent business travel to project sites, and a project-driven work pace.
Willingness and stability to work in Brazil on a long-term basis.Local Brazilian candidates are preferred.
